Megan Jean Harlow


Megan Jean Harlow is a Ph.D. student in the crip/queer focus. Her research focuses on the figure of mother in 21st century literature and media. Her research examines the ways that technology, embodiment, gender, race and the environment are interconnected in the creation and potential liberation of dominant ideologies. She has published on cyber feminism, auto-ethnography in virtual environments and has an upcoming chapter on AI as a tool in the writing classroom.

She has her BA in Political Science and Rhetoric from The University of Vermont. She obtained her MA in Communications and Rhetoric from Kansas State University. She has completed graduate coursework at The European Graduate School in Media Philosophy. Megan has taught argument, debate, media, communication, writing and English at a variety of national universities including: American University, Bard College, Castleton State University, George Washington University, Lord Fairfax Community College and Southern New Hampshire University and The University of Vermont.
