English Major

Majoring in English fosters critical reflection on literature and culture, connecting reading practices with lucid writing and persuasive argumentation. The flexible structure of the English major permits each student to tailor their program of study to their interests.

Creative Writing and English Major

The Creative Writing program offers an array of courses from an introduction to creative writing to courses on poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction. Students work with nationally and internationally recognized faculty and meet fiction writers, poets, memoirists and editors who visit campus.
