Samuel Ashworth is a regular feature writer for the Washington Post Magazine and Eater.com, and his fiction, essays, and criticism have appeared in Longreads, Hazlitt, NYLON, Barrelhouse, Catapult, the Times Literary Supplement, and the Brooklyn Rail. He wrote the "Dispatches from the Swamp" column for The Rumpus, and his travel writing has appeared in Roads and Kingdoms. He is an assistant fiction editor at Barrelhouse Magazine.
Distinctions
Samuel has received multiple artist fellowships from the DC Council on the Arts and Humanities, and in 2017 was the winner of the inaugural Alan Cheuse International Writers Center travel grant.
