Leenu Sugathan


Leenu Sugathan is a PhD candidate and graduate teaching assistant in the Department of English at George Washington University. Her doctoral research examines the intersection of literature and human rights, focusing on representations of caste and gender and their entanglements with race in Indian and South Asian American literatures. Sugathan’s broader research interests span Literature and Human Rights, Postcolonial Literary Studies, Dalit Literary Studies, Dalit and Black Feminisms, Critical Caste Studies, Comics Studies, and Critical Refugee Studies.
