Ananya Bhardwaj


Ananya Bhardwaj is a PhD student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Department of English, The George Washington University, and the recipient of the Edward Guiliano Global Fellowship awarded by the Modern Language Association (MLA). She founded the Museum of Shadows of Partition, a digital repository of inherited Partition memoirs which have passed on to later generations of the South Asian Partition survivors in the forms of anecdotes, heirlooms, and documents. She is also the recipient of the Zubaan Research Grant for their national cross-cultural project based at the intersection of labor, migration, and femininity in South Asia. Her research interests include South Asian Postcolonial Studies, Migration and Refugee Studies, Environmental Humanities, Citizenship and Border Studies, Partition Literature, and Literatures of the Diaspora.
