K. Tyler Christensen


K. Tyler Christensen is a PhD student in American Literature & Culture in the English Department at The George Washington University (GW). There, he also teaches creative writing. From Stonewall to Pulse, the expanse of his current work is concerned with queer desire/embodiment and the transvalue of a life. He has presented work at the Mezipatra Queer Film Festival in Prague, Collected Stories and Twice Told Tales in the American Studies Department at GW, and (re)collections: Tracing Power and Community in Cultural Memory, in the English Department, also at GW. He holds a BS in Psychology from Idaho State University and an MFA in Creative Writing (Nonfiction) from American University where he was the recipient of a Merit Scholarship. He has been an editorial staff member of Folio, Café Américain, and Big Lucks, and previously co-curated the D.C. based Three Tents Reading Series. His creative work has appeared in The Huffington PostBig Lucksand Out of Sequence: The Sonnets Remixed.
