Samuel Ashworth is a novelist, journalist, and ghostwriter. His debut novel, The Autopsy of August Sweeney, was longlisted for the Dzanc Prize and will be published in 2025. His feature writing appears in the Washington Post Magazine, Eater, Longreads, Hazlitt, Gawker, and many others. He wrote the "Dispatches from the Swamp" column for the Rumpus, and is assistant fiction editor for Barrelhouse Magazine. He is the co-author of a number of nonfiction books, among them New York Times bestsellers.
